The Ascender Creativity Font Pack is a relatively small file: the Windows version is 4 MB, and the Macintosh version is 6 MB. Typically this takes a minute or two with a high speed Internet connection, and 20+ minutes with a dial-up connection.
Installation
The Ascender Creativity Font Pack was built with a self-installing program. The installation program will automatically install the fonts into the system, and create a directory on your hard drive for the templates and help files.
After installation you can put the fonts to use immediately in your favorite applications - they will appear in the font menu. To get the most out of the fonts we recommend you try the Creativity Font Pack Guide, where you can see previews of all the fonts and templates, and use the Selector utility to help choose the right font for a particular task.
ClearType
To improve the on-screen readability of text, Ascender added ClearType enhancements to the Creativity Font Pack fonts.
ClearType is a technology in Windows that makes text look sharper by adjusting the red, green and blue sub-pixels on a screen. You may need to either turn on ClearType or adjust your settings to get the best quality font display.

What characters are standard in each font?
Ascender built these fonts with an extensive character set. Each font contains 384 characters with support for the following code pages:
- 1252 Latin 1 - Languages include Afrikaans, Basque, Catalan, Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Icelandic, Indonesian, Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish.
- 1250 Latin 2 Eastern European - Languages include Albanian, Croatian, Czech, Hungarian, Polish, Romanian, Slovak, Slovenian.
- 1254 Turkish
- 1257 Windows® Baltic - Languages include Estonian, Latvian, Lithuanian.
- Macintosh Roman and Macintosh Central European
Why don't the fonts appear in the Font Menu?
Most Macintosh applications sort the fonts alphabetically, and then by language support. Because these fonts have an extensive character set, they may appear at the BOTTOM of the font menu (you may have to scroll down to the bottom of your font list to see the fonts in Mac OS X).
How do I find the templates?
Select Templates on the navigation bar of the Creativity Font Pack browser help file. You can simply scroll through the list of templates and click on the filename of a desired template. This will bring up a dialog box with Open, Save, or Cancel options - simply click open. Microsoft Word will then automatically open the file for you.
Save your document right away - select File/Save As and give it a filename and change the location to My Documents or wherever you will remember it. This will make it easier find it again in the future, and will preserve the original template file.
Alternatively, the templates can be found in the same folder as other Microsoft Word for Windows templates - simply open Word, select File/New, then select templates on your computer, and then select the Ascender Creativity Font Pack tab on the templates menu.
Do I need special paper to print cards and envelope templates?
Most of the Microsoft Word templates are designed for printing on standard US Letter size paper. But some of the templates require special paper, and may require printing through the manual paper handling in your printer.

How do I insert my own picture into Microsoft Word Template?
Follow these steps:
- Some templates have "Insert Photo Here" placeholders for your pictures. To insert a photo, first delete the placeholder. Then go to the Insert Menu in Word, select Picture, then select From File. This will bring up the Insert Picture dialog box. Navigate to the folder with your picture, select it and click OK.
- To resize your picture, first select it by clicking on it. Then drag the sizing handles located in the corners of the picture.
- To move your picture follow these steps:
1. Click the picture you that want to format.
2. On the Format menu, click Picture.
3. In the Format Picture dialog box, click the Layout tab, and then click Advanced.
4. Click the Text Wrapping tab. Select the "In Front" text wrapping, then click OK.
5. Click OK to close the Format Picture dialog box.
6. Now you can drag your picture to the desired location on your page.

How many computers can I install this product on?
The Ascender Creativity Font Pack is licensed for use on one (1) computer. If you want to install the fonts, templates or other components on more than one computer you need to purchase an additional license. Please contact Ascender for additional licenses, corporate/enterprise licenses or volume discounts.
