Fonts for Digital TVs and Set Top Boxes

- Segoe TV: Ascender is proud to offer the Segoe TV family of fonts from Microsoft. Originally developed for MSNTV, these are now availalbe for licensing. More information on Segoe TV.

Teletext Fonts
Ascender offers different fonts for Teletext support. The Teletext character set includes alphamosiac characters and Latin, Cyrillic, Greek, Arabic and Hebrew alphabets. Font Engines
Ascender offers two font engines: the Microsoft font rasterizer and the FreeType font engine. The Microsoft font rasterizer has renowned quality because of its support for patented TrueType hints. FreeType is the leading open-source font rendering engine. Both provide support for the features popular with developers. Ascender has developed enhanced features such as edge effects and compact Asian font support as part of implementing these font engines into its Ascender Font System.
